Job Details

• Location: Winchester, VA 22601 (Winchester, VA travel assignment / Shenandoah Valley)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (5/4/2026 – 8/3/2026)
• Position: CVOR Surgical Technologist / Surgical Tech (Travel)
• Setting: Hospital – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Shift: 4x10-hour days (6:30am – 5:00pm), rotating days off. Please note: While the schedule consists of 40 hours per week, only 36 hours are guaranteed weekly. Additional hours may be scheduled based on operational needs and on-call requirements.
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 (scheduled for 40 hours per week, but only 36 hours are guaranteed)
• On-Call: 12–13 on-call shifts per 4-week period (including weekends & holidays)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,150 – $2,310

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent CVOR / cardiovascular Surgical Technologist experience
• NBSTSA certification required (Surgical Technologist certification)
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• Active Virginia state license preferred; temporary VA license accepted while permanent license is pending
• Proficiency with Epic EMR (electronic medical record) preferred
• Experience with IABP, ECMO, Atricure device, and Impella 5.5 preferred
• Ability to float to vascular and thoracic cases as needed (perioperative flexibility)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative support as a CVOR Surgical Technologist for cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical cases
• Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot surgical instruments, specialty devices, and implants
• Assist surgeons and the multidisciplinary OR team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and sterile technique
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control, and sterile field standards
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays, and float to vascular/thoracic cases as required
