Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse (Med/Surg RN)
• Location: Geneva, NY 14456 — Finger Lakes region; New York travel nursing opportunity
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 – $2,030
• Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 8, 2026)
• Hours: Full-time, 36 hours/week
• Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am) per week; plus 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks; includes weekends and holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN licensure (required for travel nursing in NY)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI only)
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN or Med-Surg experience)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered care using nursing theory, clinical skills, and strong communication as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse
• Assess patient and family needs; develop and implement individualized care plans for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust nursing interventions accordingly
• Administer medications and perform required interventions following facility policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care across the hospital setting
• Promote patient safety, advocate for patient rights, and support teamwork on Med/Surg units
• Provide patient and family education on self-care and lifestyle changes to support recovery post-discharge
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care, patient response, and education; participate in quality improvement activities
