- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse / ER RN / Travel Registered Nurse
- Location: Greenville, NC (zip 27834) — North Carolina nursing jobs / Greenville healthcare
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Unit: Emergency Department (92 beds) — Level I Trauma Center
- Staffing Ratio: 1:4 RN-to-patient
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) / ER nursing experience — travel nursing experience a plus
- Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact State (travel nurse-friendly)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC required
- Experience in Level I Trauma care and rapid assessment
- Telemetry and drip/infusion management experience required
- ESI triage training preferred (Emergency Severity Index)
- Must comply with 80-mile local radius rule
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ER/ED)
- Triage using ESI guidelines and perform rapid initial assessments
- Manage acute presentations including stroke, seizure, congestive heart failure, sepsis, acute MI, trauma, and diabetic emergencies
- Care for neuro-medicine and neurosurgical patients; collaborate with neurology and neurosurgery teams
- Administer medications, manage telemetry monitoring, and oversee drips/infusions
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow hospital protocols and quality measures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
