• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 10, 2026 – August 8, 2026)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract — travel radiology / travel imaging job
• Setting: Hospital Radiology Department (hospital radiology, medical imaging)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days

Job Requirements

• Associate's degree in Diagnostic Imaging (required; experience cannot substitute for degree)
• Active Radiologic Technologist state license (Massachusetts preferred) — Massachusetts radiology license
• Registered Technologist (ARRT-R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
• 2–3 years of radiology technologist experience with multiple patient populations preferred — prior hospital radiology experience a plus
• Proven clinical imaging skills including radiography, patient positioning, radiation safety, and familiarity with digital imaging/PACS
• Strong communication and patient care skills for diverse patient populations
• Ability to pass all required background checks, health screenings, and onboarding requirements

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient condition to obtain diagnostic-quality images for radiologist interpretation
• Operate digital radiography equipment and record images per department protocols; maintain accurate imaging records (PACS experience helpful)
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures: transport, transfer, immobilize, and position patients with attention to safety and comfort
• Explain procedures to patients and families, addressing physical and emotional needs to ensure a positive patient experience
• Provide radiation protection in accordance with established safety standards and facility policies
• Assist Radiology Technologist students and new staff with exams, sterile technique, and supply management as needed
