- Location: Newton Lower Falls, MA 02462 (Greater Boston area) — Massachusetts radiology job
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 10, 2026 – August 8, 2026)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract — travel radiology / travel imaging job
- Setting: Hospital Radiology Department (hospital radiology, medical imaging)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
Job Requirements
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Imaging (required; experience cannot substitute for degree)
- Active Radiologic Technologist state license (Massachusetts preferred) — Massachusetts radiology license
- Registered Technologist (ARRT-R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
- 2–3 years of radiology technologist experience with multiple patient populations preferred — prior hospital radiology experience a plus
- Proven clinical imaging skills including radiography, patient positioning, radiation safety, and familiarity with digital imaging/PACS
- Strong communication and patient care skills for diverse patient populations
- Ability to pass all required background checks, health screenings, and onboarding requirements
Responsibilities
- Determine appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient condition to obtain diagnostic-quality images for radiologist interpretation
- Operate digital radiography equipment and record images per department protocols; maintain accurate imaging records (PACS experience helpful)
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures: transport, transfer, immobilize, and position patients with attention to safety and comfort
- Explain procedures to patients and families, addressing physical and emotional needs to ensure a positive patient experience
- Provide radiation protection in accordance with established safety standards and facility policies
- Assist Radiology Technologist students and new staff with exams, sterile technique, and supply management as needed
