Job Requirements – Telemetry Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry nursing experience (cardiac telemetry/monitoring)
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
• ACLS and telemetry certification a plus (preferred)

Responsibilities – Telemetry RN Duties

• Continuously monitor and assess patients on cardiac telemetry units, accurately interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed in accordance with hospital protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiology teams, and interdisciplinary staff to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient progress, telemetry events, and interventions in the electronic medical record
• Provide patient and family education and compassionate support during hospitalization
• Escalate changes in condition and assist with transfers to higher levels of care when indicated
