Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel contract in Oxford, NC (27565). Night shift travel nursing job for experienced ER RNs with an active North Carolina license. Join a community hospital Emergency Department (ED) and make an immediate impact caring for acute and critical patients.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
- Location: Oxford, NC (27565) — North Carolina travel nursing, close to Raleigh-Durham
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse / Travel Registered Nurse
- Unit: Emergency Room / Emergency Department (ED)
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent ER nursing experience required (2 years preferred) — emergency nursing or critical care nursing experience valued
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (must be active at time of submission)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- Two supervisory references required
- Travel nursing experience preferred — previous MEDITECH EMR experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the Emergency Room and triage effectively in a fast-paced ED
- Assess, triage, and treat patients with a wide range of acute medical and trauma conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, techs, ancillary services) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately using the MEDITECH electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies and critical situations with strong clinical judgment
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control procedures
