• May float to other facilities as needed: Travel RT may float to other Cleveland Clinic facilities

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting
• Current Ohio RRT license in hand at time of application
• NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) certification – active and in hand
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA – active and in hand
• CRT or RRT credentials accepted
• Must be nicotine-free (facility is smoke-free; negative nicotine screen required)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to provide two professional references from a supervisor/manager in the specialty within the last 12 months
• All work history, including previous positions at Cleveland Clinic, must be included in your profile
• Willingness to float to other CCF facilities as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in the hospital respiratory and pulmonary units
• Perform patient assessments, administer respiratory treatments, and monitor clinical progress
• Provide ventilator management and support (mechanical ventilation, weaning, airway management) as appropriate
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and adjust therapies per protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document all care provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in orientation and required annual modules
• Float to other units or facilities as needed to support patient care; work weekends and holidays as scheduled
