• Shift: 4x10-Hour Days (06:00 - 16:30), Monday–Friday (off day varies)
• On-Call: 2–3 calls/week and at least 1 weekend/month (24-hour coverage Sat–Sun)
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026 – End: 8/3/2026)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 – $2,060 (competitive travel surgical tech pay)
• Charting / EMR: Cerner experience preferred
• Parking: Free (South Parking Garage)
• Scrubs: Provided

Top Qualifications / Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent CVOR tech or cardiovascular surgical technologist experience required
• Previous travel surgical tech experience required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NBSTSA certification strongly preferred (CVOR/ST certification)
• Valid state license required at time of submission
• Demonstrated scrub experience and perioperative skills
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Strict no-tobacco policy (nicotine screening required)
• Two supervisor references required

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures, with emphasis on cardiovascular (CVOR), neuro, and general surgery for adults, adolescents, and geriatrics
• Prepare and maintain sterile field and surgical instrumentation in the operating room using aseptic technique
• Set up specialized CVOR equipment and instruments, including implants and disposables used in cardiac and vascular procedures
• Pass instruments and anticipate surgeon needs during cases, ensuring efficiency and patient safety
• Handle, label, and transport surgical specimens appropriately and document per hospital policy
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate with perioperative and interdisciplinary teams (surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, perfusionists) to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
