Job Details
- Position: Radiology Technologist / Rad Tech (Travel Radiology Technologist)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,080 – $2,230
- Location: Madison, WI 53792 (Madison, Wisconsin)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 8 hours (08:15 – 17:15), Monday – Friday
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Saturday rotation, standby call, and holiday rotations may be assigned
- Travel Contract Type: On-site travel contract
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent radiology experience (Level I and II trauma experience preferred)
- ARRT (R) certification (required)
- State of Wisconsin Radiographer license (must be in hand at submission)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience required
- Competency in a wide range of radiologic procedures, including trauma, pediatric, and adult imaging
- Influenza vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Telemetry exam required prior to start (strict passing criteria)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of imaging exams (radiography) for adults, geriatrics, adolescents, pediatrics, and neonates using advanced radiographic equipment
- Troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in quality assurance (QA), and resolve issues related to image processing and archiving systems
- Make rapid, technical decisions to accommodate patient physical restrictions and diverse pathology in a hospital radiology setting
- Prepare and administer contrast media as needed, following safety protocols
- Adhere to infection prevention, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
- Participate in Saturday, standby call, and holiday rotations as assigned
- Float to other units as needed based on operational requirements
