• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Location: Newport, VT (Northeast Kingdom) — Newport, VT 05855. Great option for Vermont travel nursing and Newport VT RN jobs.
• Healthcare Setting: Critical Access Hospital (25 beds)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• End Date: August 3, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a), including every other weekend rotation — Night Shift RN / Telemetry RN opportunity
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN / Travel Nursing)

Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license required; ability to obtain state licensure if needed
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry (Progressive Care Unit RN, Med-Surg RN, Telemetry RN)
• Ability to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
• Willingness to float to other units within a small hospital setting
• Personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transit
• Attendance at department quarterly education sessions required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care across PCU, MedSurg, and Telemetry units as a Progressive Care Unit RN
• Perform charge nurse duties and support unit operations during night shift
• Float to other units as needed in a critical access hospital environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation, follow hospital standards and infection control protocols
• Participate in unit education and quality improvement initiatives
