- Setting: Level 2 ICU (Critical Care)
- Start Date: May 11, 2026
- End Date: August 8, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a); every other weekend, holidays, and 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130 (competitive travel nurse pay)
Travel Nurse Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA/RQI only)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire
- CPI certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle protected health information (PHI) with discretion
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Computer literacy required; experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office preferred
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan: pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- TNCC and ENA certification recommended within 2 years of hire
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to patients in a Level 2 ICU
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care across the lifespan
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and allied health) to optimize patient outcomes
- Perform accurate and timely EMR documentation to support continuity of care
- Participate in on-call rotations, weekends, and holiday coverage as scheduled
- Maintain patient safety, dignity, and respect while following infection control and safety protocols
- Provide education and support to patients and families and contribute to a professional, healing environment
