• Weekly Estimated Pay (Travel Nurse): $1,350 - $1,420
• Location: Austin, TX 78758 (North Austin) — Austin nursing jobs, Texas nursing jobs
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Antepartum/Postpartum – Women's Tower, 3rd Floor (Labor & Delivery / Perinatal)
• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: 3:1 or 4:1 (occasionally 2:1 depending on acuity)
• EMR: Meditech and CPN
• Scrub Color: Navy blue

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent L&D, Antepartum, or Postpartum nursing experience
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to work rotating weekends as part of a Labor & Delivery schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to antepartum and postpartum patients in a busy perinatal unit
• Perform typical unit procedures including non-stress tests (NSTs), hyperemesis management, insulin and heparin drips, and magnesium administration
• Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns to charge RNs and providers
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including obstetrics providers, charge RNs, and unit clerks
• Document care accurately and efficiently using Meditech and CPN EMR systems
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients, families, and staff in the Women's Tower
