• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350 – $1,420 (competitive travel nursing pay)

• Setting: Postpartum / Mother-Baby Unit (postpartum nurse, newborn care)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36

Qualifications and Requirements

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year recent mother/baby or postpartum nursing experience
• NRP, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• Strong clinical skills in postpartum and newborn care including newborn assessment and routine postpartum management
• Experience with breastfeeding support and patient education preferred
• Ability to begin assignment on May 4, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care for postpartum mothers and their newborns in the mother-baby unit
• Perform newborn assessments, monitor vital signs, and assist with feeding and lactation support
• Administer medications, document care accurately, and manage routine postpartum interventions
• Educate families on newborn care, safe sleep, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with obstetric, pediatric, and lactation teams to support high-quality patient outcomes
