Travel Mother/Baby Registered Nurse (RN) – El Paso, TX | 13-week postpartum nursing contract. NRP, BLS, and ACLS required. Join a dedicated team providing newborn care and postpartum support in a welcoming Texas community.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350 – $1,420 (competitive travel nursing pay)
- Location: El Paso, TX 79902 — El Paso healthcare job, Texas nursing jobs
- Setting: Postpartum / Mother-Baby Unit (postpartum nurse, newborn care)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: 12 Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Contract — travel RN, contract RN job
Qualifications and Requirements
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state
- Minimum 1 year recent mother/baby or postpartum nursing experience
- NRP, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical skills in postpartum and newborn care including newborn assessment and routine postpartum management
- Experience with breastfeeding support and patient education preferred
- Ability to begin assignment on May 4, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care for postpartum mothers and their newborns in the mother-baby unit
- Perform newborn assessments, monitor vital signs, and assist with feeding and lactation support
- Administer medications, document care accurately, and manage routine postpartum interventions
- Educate families on newborn care, safe sleep, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate with obstetric, pediatric, and lactation teams to support high-quality patient outcomes
