Required Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum 1 year recent Mother/Baby or Postpartum RN experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
  • Strong clinical assessment, newborn care, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative maternal-child health environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns, including routine newborn assessments and postpartum monitoring
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions; escalate and report changes promptly to ensure patient safety
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and follow nursing care plans
  • Educate and support mothers and families on newborn care, breastfeeding basics, and postpartum recovery
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—OB/GYN, pediatrics, lactation consultants, and support staff—to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
