Ideal candidates have strong surgical/OR and fluoroscopy experience.
Job Details
- Position: Travel Radiology Technologist / Rad Tech
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,280
- Location: Milwaukee, WI 53215 (Milwaukee radiology jobs / Wisconsin imaging jobs)
- Setting: Level III Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Primary Stroke Center, Magnet-designated hospital
- Contract: 13 weeks (Start: May 4, 2026 – End: August 1, 2026)
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts (40 hours/week)
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- On-Call: One call shift per week
- Holiday Expectations: One holiday per contract

Required Qualifications (Radiologic Technologist / Rad Tech)
- Minimum 2 years acute or surgical radiology experience (hospital/trauma center preferred)
- ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Wisconsin Radiologic Technologist License
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Clinical competency in surgery and procedural radiology, including OR cases
- Comfortable performing fluoroscopy procedures (ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic, urology)
- Experience with general radiography, portable imaging, and mid-high level hospital radiology
- OR experience (ortho, general, spines); Medtronic o-arm experience preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR, GE/Fuji/Del Medical X-ray equipment, McKesson PACS, GE 9900
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging for inpatient, outpatient, ED, and procedural patients across all adult age ranges (minimal pediatrics)
- Manage an average caseload of 15–20 patients per day with efficient workflow and strong patient communication
- Participate in surgical and procedural radiology, including fluoroscopy and OR imaging support
- Operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment (general, portable, fluoroscopy, o-arm where applicable)
- Collaborate with lead techs, radiologists, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety
- Adhere to department protocols, maintain imaging quality standards, and follow radiation safety practices
- Participate in weekend rotations, on-call coverage, and complete a 7-day departmental orientation
