Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,100 – $2,260
• Location: Glen Dale, WV (zip 26038) — West Virginia OR jobs, travel healthcare opportunity
• Setting: Acute Care, Operating Room (perioperative / intraoperative)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (travel contract)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (7:00am–3:30pm)
• Call Requirement: Call from 3:30pm–7:00am, with possible weekend call (up to 3 days per week)
• Charting System: MEDITECH (intraoperative documentation)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an OR Tech, Surgical Tech, or Surgical First Assist in an acute care/operating room setting
• Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) via NBSTSA (required)
• BLS Certification (AHA)
• Ability to participate in call rotation as scheduled
• Comfortable working in an acute care, perioperative environment and responding to emergent surgical needs

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures as a Surgical First Assist (first assist duties)
• Prepare the operating room, set up sterile instruments and ensure all necessary surgical equipment and supplies are available
• Maintain sterile technique and support patient safety throughout intraoperative care
• Perform first assist duties including tissue handling, wound closure, retraction, and hemostasis
• Participate in call rotation and respond promptly to emergent surgical needs
• Document procedures and perioperative care accurately using MEDITECH
