Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Janesville, WI. 13-week travel nurse opportunity for experienced Med/Surg RNs on 12-hour day shifts—advance your nursing career in southern Wisconsin.
Job Details
- Location: Janesville, WI 53548 (Janesville, Rock County, southern Wisconsin)
- Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Med Surg RN) – Travel Nurse
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 8, 2026 – July 8, 2026)
- Setting: Medical-Surgical Adult Unit (medical-surgical nursing, hospital RN)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Verification of nursing education and clinical training
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza per facility policy
- Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience (medical-surgical experience required)
- Willingness to float to other units as needed (float pool flexibility)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical-surgical patient care using the nursing process and clinical judgment
- Perform patient assessments, monitor vitals, and recognize changes in condition that require escalation
- Administer medications and treatments safely, following approved nursing techniques and state laws
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) according to facility standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, case management) to optimize outcomes
- Participate in unit performance improvement activities, shared governance, and clinical practice initiatives
