Job Details

• Location: Janesville, WI 53548 (Janesville, Rock County, southern Wisconsin)
• Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Med Surg RN) – Travel Nurse
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 8, 2026 – July 8, 2026)
• Setting: Medical-Surgical Adult Unit (medical-surgical nursing, hospital RN)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Verification of nursing education and clinical training
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza per facility policy
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience (medical-surgical experience required)
• Willingness to float to other units as needed (float pool flexibility)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical patient care using the nursing process and clinical judgment
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vitals, and recognize changes in condition that require escalation
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following approved nursing techniques and state laws
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) according to facility standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, case management) to optimize outcomes
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities, shared governance, and clinical practice initiatives
