Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 - $2,430
• Location: Olathe, KS 66061 (Kansas City metro)
• Position Type: Travel Cardiac Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech – Hospital
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 26, 2026 – July 26, 2026)
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: One night per week
• Weekend/Holiday: No weekends or holidays required
• Orientation: 2-day orientation at TUKHS, followed by Olathe orientation

Required Qualifications – Cardiac Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech

• High school graduate required
• Minimum 4 years cardiac ultrasound clinical experience as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer
• Performed at least 4,000 echocardiograms
• RCS-CCI or RDCS-ARDMS certification required (Registered Cardiac Sonographer / RDCS)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• EMR experience with EPIC preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited cardiac ultrasound/echocardiography or related health science program (cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing)
• Training or certification in IV and UEA contrast administration
• Neonatal echo experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities – Echocardiography / Cardiac Ultrasound

• Perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound procedures including resting and stress echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
• Operate GE Vivid E95 and Philips CVX equipment and ensure image quality and accurate measurements
• Provide high-quality imaging in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings, including coverage for the OR, cath lab, and EP lab
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EPIC EMR; ensure timely report generation
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation (one night per week)
• Attend required orientation sessions prior to start and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional cardiac care
