Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 - $1,970 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Leading hospital in Live Oak, TX 78233 — San Antonio area travel nursing opportunity
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (March 6, 2026 – June 5, 2026)
• Shift: 8 Hour Days (06:30 AM – 03:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: Rotating weeknight and weekend call (one night a week minimum, one weekend per 5-week schedule minimum)
• Scrub Attire: Provided by facility

Job Requirements (OR RN / Perioperative Nurse)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• Minimum 1 year of OR circulator experience; perioperative nursing or surgical nurse background required
• Ability to fulfill rotating call schedule
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred (documentation and perioperative charting)
• Experience in orthopedics, general, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, or thoracic surgery is a plus

Responsibilities (OR Circulator / Surgical Nurse)

• Serve as an OR circulator RN, providing perioperative care and ensuring patient safety throughout pre-op, intra-op, and immediate post-op phases
• Assist with a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedics, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, and thoracic cases
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Meditech EMR and follow perioperative documentation standards
• Participate in rotating call schedule, including weeknights and weekends, as part of the travel nurse OR team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of surgeons, surgical techs, anesthesia, and other healthcare professionals
• Demonstrate clinical flexibility, strong communication, compassion, and a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced surgical environment
