• Setting: Inpatient Acute Rehab (acute care, inpatient rehab therapy)

• End Date: August 16, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 5 days/week (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekend days per month
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,350 – $1,460

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Arizona
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA; 2+ years of acute inpatient rehab experience preferred
• Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to document treatment sessions and outcomes accurately
• Experience with therapeutic interventions such as gait training, therapeutic exercise, mobility and transfer training preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in delivering patient treatments and managing referred patients in an inpatient acute rehab setting
• Perform therapeutic interventions under PT direction, including gait training, transfers, therapeutic exercise, and mobility training
• Document treatment sessions, patient progress, and outcomes in the medical record; support discharge planning
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy plans, safety, and home exercise programs
• Participate in administrative duties, quality improvement projects, and interdisciplinary team meetings
• Pursue ongoing professional growth and development to maintain best practices in inpatient physical therapy
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the rehab team and patient care goals
