Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,040 – $2,150
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Setting: Acute Care – Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend / Holiday: Rotating weekends and holidays
- Opportunities: Precepting and charge nurse roles available
- Location: Martinsburg, WV – Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia (zip code 25401)
Key Qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent Telemetry or Progressive Care RN experience
- Active RN license (West Virginia or compact state) – Telemetry RN / Registered Nurse
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Experience with EPIC charting preferred
- Open to first-time travel nurses
Responsibilities
- Monitor and care for patients with cardiac conditions using Phillips Cardiac Monitors and telemetry systems
- Administer and manage set-rate drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Labetolol, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, Integrilin, Nitro)
- Document cardiac rhythms and strips every 4 hours in EPIC
- Collaborate closely with hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacy staff
- Provide patient education and support for pre/post cardiac procedures, pacers, and peritoneal dialysis
- Participate in unit orientation, precepting, and occasional floating to overflow units as needed
- Maintain professional appearance (navy blue scrubs, natural hair color, tattoos covered as required)
