Travel Nurse Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Cleveland, Ohio (ZIP 44195)
• Unit: J5-6 Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVICU) – cardiac post-op, advanced cardiac support
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: April 27, 2026
• Shift: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 7:00am–7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm–7:30am)
• Employment Type: Travel RN / On-site position

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 18 months recent, permanent CVICU or critical care experience (travel experience accepted)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a Compact RN license in hand
• Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including at least every other holiday
• COVID-19 and annual Flu vaccines required (medical or religious exemptions considered)
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular surgical patients
• Monitor and assess post-surgical cardiac patients, including hemodynamic management and ventilator care
• Administer medications, manage IVs, titrate drips, and perform advanced nursing procedures
• Interpret ECG rhythms, respond to cardiac events, and collaborate on emergency interventions
• Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient progress, maintain accurate electronic medical records, and ensure regulatory compliance
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical performance initiatives
• Adapt to variable shifts and support staffing needs as a travel nurse in a fast-paced CVICU
