Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Travel RN assignment)
- Start Date: April 27, 2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,820 – $1,920
- Setting: Acute care hospital — General Surgery Operating Room (OR); perioperative/surgical nursing role
- Shifts: Day shift, 4 x 10-hour shifts per week (6:30am – 5:00pm)
- On-Call: Up to one call day per week (call starts at 5pm); 1 call weekend every 5 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours / Call-Off: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Scrubs: Hospital-issued
- Charting / EMR: Epic (experience with Epic EMR preferred)

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN or perioperative nursing experience
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (or proof of application) — South Carolina travel RN jobs eligible
- BLS certification required (AHA)
- Radiation badge required (to be provided by agency)
- First-time travelers welcome — travel nurse and contract RN candidates encouraged to apply
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Previous charge experience preferred; PALS certification preferred
Responsibilities / Perioperative Duties
- Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to surgical patients in the operating room
- Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, gynecologic, urologic, and robotic surgeries
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and universal protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including anesthesia, surgeons, and OR support staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotation as required
- Ensure accurate specimen handling, labeling, and documentation
- Utilize Epic for charting — maintain thorough and timely patient records in the electronic medical record
- Comply with hospital policies and emergency preparedness protocols, including hurricane season (June–November)
