High-impact Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) nights in a Level 1 Trauma Center — Columbus, OH. 13-week perioperative nursing assignment starting June 1, 2026. Join a collaborative surgical team in an 18-bed OR and work on advanced cases as a perioperative/surgical RN.
Job Details – Travel OR RN / Perioperative RN
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus healthcare / Ohio nursing jobs)
- Facility: Level 1 Trauma Center, 18-bed Operating Room
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract – Travel OR RN / Surgical RN
- Start Date: June 1, 2026
- End Date: August 31, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050 – $2,160
Required Qualifications – Operating Room RN / OR RN
- Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience with extensive scrub and circulating experience
- Experience in Level 1 Trauma Centers preferred (trauma surgical nursing)
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license) — Ohio nursing jobs candidates welcome
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record (EPIC charting)
- Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Willingness to float to other units within the organization as needed
- Two professional references (one from a manager, director, or direct supervisor)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Primary Responsibilities – Perioperative / Surgical RN
- Provide comprehensive perioperative care across a wide variety of surgical specialties, acting as both scrub nurse and circulating nurse when needed
- Support cases including General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant surgeries
- Focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and complex General Surgery cases
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation using the EPIC system
- Participate in scheduled call coverage and float to other units as required
