• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Active RN license (any state; compact/Multistate license accepted) — ideal for travel nurses and Ohio nursing jobs
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in stepdown, PCU, cardiac telemetry, or progressive care
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications; NIHSS required
• Experience with Epic EMR / Epic charting system required
• Ability to pass an online EKG/telemetry competency assessment prior to start
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Available to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Previous charge or leadership experience preferred

Key Responsibilities (Cardiac/Telemetry RN)

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and progressive care patients, including those with CHF, MI, COPD, stroke, renal failure, and post-surgical needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, identify and manage dysrhythmias as a telemetry nurse
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips (no titration), perform complex assessments and clinical decision-making
• Care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and feeding tubes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, case management, and physicians
• Float to other specialty units within the cluster as needed to support staffing and continuity of care
• Document care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Participate on rapid response and code teams as required
