- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — Night Shift L&D RN
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 – $2,600

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (high-acuity, Level III NICU or regional referral hospital preferred)
- Previous travel assignment at a similar size/acuity facility — first-time travelers not accepted
- Active RN license (state of practice) — Maine nursing license or compact RN eligible preferred
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), MOAB
- Clinical proficiency with Cerner EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Fetal Link monitoring systems
- Strong skills in obstetric triage, fetal monitoring, medication titration, and emergency response
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Labor & Delivery care for laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
- Monitor and manage PIH, GDM, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, HELLP, multiples, fetal loss, and other common OB diagnoses
- Titrate Pitocin, perform cervical exams, assist with epidural placement, and manage insulin and magnesium drips
- Respond to obstetric emergencies, circulate for C-sections, assist with neonatal resuscitation, and provide newborn care
- Support lactation initiation, safe skin-to-skin protocols, and newborn assessments in the Newborn Nursery
- Collaborate with OB providers, anesthesia, CSTs, neonatal staff, and multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity referral hospital
- Float as needed to Mother-Baby, Antepartum, or Postpartum units (no NICU assignments expected for this role)
- Document patient care, fetal monitoring, and newborn assessments accurately in Cerner EMR
