- Setting: Pediatric Operating Room (Pediatric OR) – perioperative surgical nursing
- Start Date: May 4, 2026
- End Date: August 1, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour Days (perioperative shift)
- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
- On-Call: Yes – approx. 2 weeknights and 1 weekend every 6 weeks (30-minute response time)
- Weekend Rotation: Unlikely but possible
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Parking: Free on-site parking
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 – $2,370 (travel nurse pay)
Who We’re Looking For
- Operating Room Registered Nurse (Pediatric OR RN) with strong perioperative skills
- Minimum 2 years acute OR RN experience (high-level experience required if only 2 years)
- First-time travel nurses should have at least 5 years of extensive OR and pediatric experience
- Active WA State RN or Compact RN License (Washington nursing jobs, WA RN)
- Required certifications: BLS and PALS
- CNOR certification preferred (perioperative nursing credential)
- EPIC EMR proficiency required
- Highly preferred skills: IV starts, scrub & circulating experience, robotics, high-level neuro, ophthalmology, dental, trauma, and a wide pediatric case mix
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate and/or scrub for a diverse range of pediatric and select adult OR cases (trauma, neurosurgery, urology, GYN, orthopedics, oncology, ENT, general surgery, dental, ophthalmology, robotics)
- Provide perioperative care for patients from neonates to young adults, including those with developmental delays, congenital anomalies, and trauma
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain patient safety
- Float as needed to support procedures in PICU, NICU, MRI, or IR
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes when required
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and uphold highest standards of perioperative nursing practice
