Job Details – PACU Nurse / Travel Nurse

• Location: Los Alamos, NM 87544 (Northern New Mexico healthcare opportunity)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Setting: 47?bed acute care facility with 2 OR suites
• Shift: 8?hour day shifts (06:30 – 15:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirements: Approximately 10 days per month (call rotation)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950 – $2,050

Job Requirements – PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact RN licensure as applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or perioperative nursing experience (Post?Anesthesia Care Unit)
• Current BLS (American Heart Association)
• Ability to take call as scheduled (approx. 10 days/month)
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Required for submission: Resume, completed self?assessment, and skills checklist

Responsibilities – PACU / Post?Anesthesia Care

• Provide high?quality post?anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery in the PACU
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to ensure safe patient transitions
• Accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the medical record
• Participate in call rotation and support a fast?paced, team?oriented perioperative environment
• Deliver compassionate, patient?centered care consistent with PACU nursing best practices
