Job Details – PACU Nurse / Travel Nurse
- Location: Los Alamos, NM 87544 (Northern New Mexico healthcare opportunity)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Setting: 47?bed acute care facility with 2 OR suites
- Shift: 8?hour day shifts (06:30 – 15:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Call Requirements: Approximately 10 days per month (call rotation)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950 – $2,050
Job Requirements – PACU Registered Nurse (RN)
- Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact RN licensure as applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or perioperative nursing experience (Post?Anesthesia Care Unit)
- Current BLS (American Heart Association)
- Ability to take call as scheduled (approx. 10 days/month)
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Required for submission: Resume, completed self?assessment, and skills checklist
Responsibilities – PACU / Post?Anesthesia Care
- Provide high?quality post?anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery in the PACU
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to ensure safe patient transitions
- Accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the medical record
- Participate in call rotation and support a fast?paced, team?oriented perioperative environment
- Deliver compassionate, patient?centered care consistent with PACU nursing best practices
