• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Lawton, OK 73505 — Lawton, Oklahoma nursing jobs / Oklahoma travel nurse
• Setting: 33-bed Cardiovascular Care Unit (CVCU) / Cardiac Stepdown Unit
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 (Telemetry / stepdown nursing)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:00pm – 6:00am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Date: April 23, 2026

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S.; Oklahoma license or multistate/Compact RN eligibility preferred
• Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or CVCU (Telemetry RN / Cardiac nurse)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred
• Demonstrated rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills (EKG/telemetry experience)
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, IV/medication administration, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented cardiac care environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients in a 33-bed CVCU
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; identify and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and cardiac interventions per orders and unit protocols
• Perform rapid assessments, manage telemetry alarms, and escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiology teams, and allied health professionals to develop individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, medications, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
