- Facility: 225-bed specialty care hospital
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:00 – 18:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Contract — Travel Respiratory Therapist / Travel RT role
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential — required
- Minimum 1 year of recent hospital-based respiratory therapy experience
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Ability and willingness to float to the NICU as needed (NICU float experience a plus)
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care and therapy to patients across multiple specialties including Heart & Vascular, Cancer, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine, Women's Health, and Pediatrics
- Perform respiratory assessments, treatments, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication administration, and airway management as ordered by physicians
- Monitor patient progress, troubleshoot respiratory equipment, and document care accurately in the medical record
- Float to the NICU and other units as required; assist with neonatal and pediatric respiratory needs when assigned
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other allied health professionals to deliver high-quality patient-centered care
