Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact/State of New Mexico requirements apply)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
• Experience in Emergency Room (ER) and Med-Surg settings required; float experience preferred
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
• Proficiency with ventilator management, titratable drips, medication mixing, IV starts, and patient hygiene preferred
• Ability to float to ER for supportive tasks and to Med-Surg for either full patient assignments or aid roles
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers (ensure your agency is registered with the NM State Board of Nursing)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients, including ventilator care, titratable drip titration, medication administration, and hygiene care
• Float as needed to Emergency Room (supportive clinical tasks) and Med-Surg (full patient assignment or aide role)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to plan and deliver evidence-based patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in MedHost EMR and follow hospital charting requirements
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
• Participate in float rotations and be flexible with blocked scheduling requests
• Work scheduled holidays and support unit staffing needs during peak times
