- Location: Carlsbad, NM 88220 (Travel Nursing – New Mexico)

- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) – Night shift ICU RN

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU / critical care nursing experience (ventilator management, titratable drips)
- Active RN license (must meet New Mexico requirements for travel nurses)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ER and Med Surg experience required for floating responsibilities
- TNCC certification preferred
- Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, mixing medications, IV starts, and patient hygiene preferred
- Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers (agency must be registered with the state) — New Mexico travel nursing fingerprinting compliance required
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Provide total care for ICU patients, including ventilator management, titratable drips, medication administration, and hygiene care
- Float to ER to assist with call lights, medication administration, patient transport, IV starts, and blood draws (no patient assignments in ER)
- Float to Med Surg to take full patient assignments (up to 6 patients) or act as an aide (up to 12 patients)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using MedHost EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in holiday coverage and unit-specific staffing needs as required
