Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1920 – $2060
• Location: Milton, MA (02186) — Boston-area hospital laboratory
• Setting: Hospital Laboratory – Lab Services Unit (clinical laboratory)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 4/27/2026, End: 7/25/2026)
• Shift: 8-hour nights (11:30 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekends & Holidays: Required (travel laboratory job expectations)
• Type: Travel Contract — travel MLT / clinical laboratory technician role
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly (on-call time not included)

Job Requirements (Medical Laboratory Technician / MLT)

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (generalist) in a hospital or clinical laboratory
• ASCP certification required (verification needed) — ASCP MLT preferred
• Experience with Epic LIS or similar laboratory information systems
• Hands-on experience with the following departments and instruments:
  • Blood Bank: Echo
  • Hematology / Coagulation: Sysmex 2000, ACLTOP
  • Chemistry: Cobas Pro, ABL 90
  • Microbiology / Urinalysis: Gram Stain, Sysmex UF 5000, Siemens Novus, Cepheid GeneXpert
• Must be separated from BILH for 6+ months and in good standing

Key Responsibilities (Clinical Laboratory / Hospital Lab)

• Perform generalist duties across all laboratory departments (blood bank, hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis)
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and point-of-care equipment
• Perform accurate testing and analysis; follow established laboratory protocols and quality control procedures
• Document and report results using Epic LIS; ensure data integrity and timely communication of critical values
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, technologists, and clinical teams to support patient care in a hospital setting
• Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations as required for this night shift travel role
