Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) – 13-week Long Term Care assignment in Albuquerque, NM. Join a skilled nursing / transitional care team and deliver compassionate geriatric and rehabilitative care. - Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour days)
- Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,350 – $1,460
Required Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of New Mexico, or eligibility to obtain NM licensure
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist; experience in long term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred
- Experience with ADLs, adaptive equipment, splinting, and patient-centered care plans
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- NM caregivers account required
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess residents to develop individualized OT treatment plans focused on function, safety, and independence
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, ADLs, cognition, and adaptive strategies for geriatric and medically complex patients
- Recommend and train residents and families on adaptive equipment, home safety, and fall prevention
- Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, social work, and other rehabilitation staff to ensure coordinated care in the LTC/SNF setting
- Accurately document evaluations, progress notes, and plan of care in the medical record and adjust treatment based on outcomes
- Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives
