Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) opportunity in Glenwood Springs, CO – 13-week travel assignment for experienced maternal-newborn nurses with NRP, STABLE, BLS/ACLS. Join a supportive Family Birth Place team during a high-volume birth season and enjoy Colorado outdoor living.
Job Details — Travel L&D RN / Labor & Delivery Nurse
- Location: Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 (Glenwood Springs nursing jobs / Colorado travel nursing)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 5, 2026 – August 4, 2026)
- Setting: Family Birth Place — Labor & Delivery, OR, PACU, Postpartum, Couplet Care (maternal-newborn nursing)
- Shifts: 12-hour day shifts with rotating weekends
- Call Rotation: Typically one 12-hour shift every 6 weeks (subject to change)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 – $2,600 (competitive travel nurse pay)
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D nurse / maternal newborn nursing)
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license in good standing
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS (required)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (required)
- STABLE certification (required)
- Experience providing couplet care and caring for babies ?32 weeks
- Strong team player with excellent communication and clinical assessment skills
- Must reside at least 75 miles from facility (per radius rule) — travel nurse eligibility
Responsibilities — Labor & Delivery RN / Travel Nurse Duties
- Provide evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care to laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients
- Manage high-volume births (80+ deliveries/month for May-July) with clinical efficiency and compassionate care
- Assist in the OR and PACU for labor and delivery cases as needed
- Provide couplet care for mother and baby, including neonatal stabilization and routine newborn assessments
- Participate in call rotation and work scheduled rotating weekends
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, neonatology, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and patient safety standards
