- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,500 – $1,620
- Location: Abilene, TX 79601 (Abilene, West Texas)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Shift: Night shifts, 3 x 12-hour (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Unit: Respiratory Therapy – General patient population with required NICU experience

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (hospital setting preferred)
- Valid CRT or RRT credential required
- Active state license in hand at time of application
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
- NICU experience required (neonatal respiratory care)
- Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered
- Experience with Allscripts or Altera charting systems preferred, not required
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Must pass facility drug screening upon arrival (includes marijuana)
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care across the lifespan, including neonatal and NICU patients
- Perform patient assessments, initiate and manage ventilator support, CPAP/BiPAP, airway management, suctioning, and aerosol therapies
- Support neonatal resuscitation and provide neonatal ventilator management as indicated
- Administer treatments and interventions as ordered by physicians and document care accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Rapid Response Teams and NICU staff
- Document patient care thoroughly in the hospital EMR (Allscripts/Altera experience a plus)
- Participate in weekend and night coverage as scheduled
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
