• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,500 – $1,620
• Location: Abilene, TX 79601 (Abilene, West Texas)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3 x 12-hour (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Unit: Respiratory Therapy – General patient population with required NICU experience

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (hospital setting preferred)
• Valid CRT or RRT credential required
• Active state license in hand at time of application
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• NICU experience required (neonatal respiratory care)
• Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered
• Experience with Allscripts or Altera charting systems preferred, not required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must pass facility drug screening upon arrival (includes marijuana)

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care across the lifespan, including neonatal and NICU patients
• Perform patient assessments, initiate and manage ventilator support, CPAP/BiPAP, airway management, suctioning, and aerosol therapies
• Support neonatal resuscitation and provide neonatal ventilator management as indicated
• Administer treatments and interventions as ordered by physicians and document care accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Rapid Response Teams and NICU staff
• Document patient care thoroughly in the hospital EMR (Allscripts/Altera experience a plus)
• Participate in weekend and night coverage as scheduled
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
