• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Shift: Days, Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (06:30 – 15:00); call rotation required
• Hours per Week: 40
• Clinical Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative services (General, Thoracic, Ortho/Spine, Pediatric, and more)
• Travel Requirement: Travelers must live 150+ miles from facility

Minimum Qualifications — Travel OR RN / Perioperative Nurse

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative, surgical nurse, OR RN)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience with thoracotomy, laparoscopic, ortho/spine, general and pediatric surgical procedures
• Charting/EHR experience required (Altera preferred but not required)
• Ability to complete facility-required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Community hospital and prior travel nurse experience preferred

Perioperative / Operating Room Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub for a wide range of surgical cases including thoracic, ortho/spine, laparoscopic, pediatric and general surgery
• Maintain patient safety and adherence to universal protocols, infection control, specimen handling and perioperative standards
• Participate in call rotation and respond as required by the unit
• Demonstrate proficiency in fire, laser and radiation safety; blood product administration; wound management
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, PACU and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality perioperative care to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
• Complete all required orientation modules (6–8 hours, non-billable) during onboarding
