• Location: Chicago, IL 60637 (Hyde Park) — Chicago anesthesia tech jobs, Illinois travel healthcare
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour (6:00am – 2:30pm), Monday–Friday, with rotated weekends
• Setting: Hospital – Surgical Services, Anesthesia Tech Unit (OR/Perioperative)
• Start Date: May 4, 2026

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BLS required (AHA preferred)
• 2+ years of anesthesia tech/anesthesia technician experience required (5+ years preferred)
• Certified Anesthesia Tech preferred; Anesthesia Tech II acceptable
• State or national certification and/or license required for allied positions
• Must be self-sufficient, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced OR/anesthesia environment

Key Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists and CRNAs in preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies for surgical procedures
• Ensure proper functioning, cleaning, and routine checks of anesthesia machines, ventilators, and monitors
• Support the surgical team during cases: equipment setup, intraoperative troubleshooting, and turnover assistance
• Maintain inventory, restock anesthesia supplies, and manage emergency carts/medications as needed
• Follow hospital, OR, and anesthesia safety protocols, infection control, and documentation standards
• Participate in orientation modules, in-service training, and annual competency assessments
