Travel ICU RN Job Details – Albuquerque, NM (87102)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620 – $1,700
- Location: Albuquerque, NM 87102 — travel nursing job in New Mexico
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (18:30 – 07:00); night shift ICU RN
- Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours available)
- Patient Ratio: 1:2 (experienced in 1:2 ICU ratios)
- Start Date: April 27, 2026

ICU RN Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU RN experience (critical care nurse experience preferred)
- Active New Mexico RN license or Compact RN license (pending accepted; must be obtained prior to start)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Comfortable with a 1:2 patient ratio and high-acuity adult patients
- Ability to float to MS, Stepdown/PCU, ER, CVICU (float capped at 4 patients)
- Must be available for 6 weekend shifts per schedule period
ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to adult ICU patients in a 32-bed intensive care unit
- Manage advanced critical care interventions: arterial lines, central/PICC lines, chest tubes, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, continuous IV sedation, and blood products
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs), monitor dysrhythmias, and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, acute stroke, and post-neurosurgery needs
- Administer procedural sedation and IV insulin protocols while following infection prevention best practices
- Float to other units as needed and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, RT, Pharmacy, Social Services, Radiology) to coordinate patient care
