Hospital Sleep Technician (RPSGT) — 16-week travel contract, night shift in Medford, OR. Join a dynamic healthcare team in Southern Oregon as a travel Sleep Tech working in a hospital sleep lab.
This 16-week travel assignment is based in Medford, Oregon (97504) in the scenic Rogue Valley. Work in a state-of-the-art hospital sleep lab within a short-term acute care facility. - Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,570

- Contract Duration: 16 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00) — travel sleep tech, night shift sleep tech
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Hospital Sleep Lab — polysomnography (PSG) and sleep disorder testing
- Patient Ratio: 2:1 (Nights)
- Charting: Epic (experience with Epic preferred)
- Parking: Free
- Scrub Color: Any color (scrubs provided for select units)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sleep Technician / Polysomnographer in a clinical or hospital sleep lab
- Active Oregon license required (must be in hand)
- RPSGT — Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
- Proficiency performing and scoring sleep studies, titrations, and home sleep apnea testing
- Reliable transportation — must have a vehicle for assignment
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Willingness to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Responsibilities
- Conduct and score polysomnography (PSG), Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT), CPAP/BiPAP titrations, and Home Sleep Tests (HST) for adult and geriatric patients
- Monitor and document respiratory events, sleep stages, arousals, and cardiac abnormalities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, ASV, VPAP, ResMed devices, EEG, ECG, and End-Tidal CO2 monitoring
- Perform electrode placement, signal calibration, and ensure high-quality data acquisition for accurate scoring
- Educate patients and families about sleep disorders, treatment options, CPAP therapy, and home sleep testing
- Maintain strict infection control standards and ensure patient safety during overnight studies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pulmonology, neurology, respiratory therapy, and nursing to deliver coordinated care
- Adhere to block scheduling; complete orientation modules and annual training
- Floating between units is NOT required for this assignment.
