This 13-week travel contract (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026) offers hands-on echocardiography experience with adult and pediatric patients using advanced cardiac sonography techniques in a supportive, hospital-based environment. Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150 – $2,310
- Location: Pocatello, Idaho (ZIP 83201) – Pocatello, ID echo tech jobs
- Role: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer / Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: 5x8 hour days, Monday–Friday (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40
- On Call: As needed
- Scrubs: Provided
- First Time Travelers: Accepted
- 100 Mile Rule: Candidate must live at least 100 miles from facility
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of echo tech experience required (3 years preferred); pediatric echocardiography and structural heart training required
- Preferred certifications: RDCS (ARDMS), RCS; RDMS-Peds preferred; current BLS from AHA required
- Experience with PACS, Epic charting system, and GE echocardiography equipment
- Proficient in 3D Echo, Bubble Study, Pharmacologic Stress Echos, TEE, Treadmill Stress Echos, and TTE
- Strong organizational, communication, and computerized charting skills
- Ability to perform well in a busy hospital setting and adapt to on-call and variable shifts
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic cardiac sonography exams for adult and pediatric patients using TTE, TEE, 3D echo and stress protocols
- Collect and document pertinent clinical data accurately in Epic and PACS
- Assist cardiologists and physicians during echocardiography procedures and interventions
- Coordinate daily workflow to ensure efficient echo lab operations
- Participate in quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives to support clinical excellence
- Demonstrate professional judgment, patient-focused care, and effective communication with patients and staff
- Maintain competency with cardiac sonography best practices, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance
