- Location: Tyler, TX 75701 — Tyler, Texas travel nursing
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: 3x12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts per week — Night Shift Cardiac RN
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,620 – $1,710
- Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / IMC – 16-bed unit (Telemetry)
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing / Travel RN
Job Requirements (Cardiac RN / Telemetry RN)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or IMC experience (required)
- Previous travel nursing experience required (unit does not accept first-time travelers)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record (Epic charting/EMR)
- Strong skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and ventilator/ventilated patient care
- Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
Responsibilities (Cardiac/Telemetry Nursing Tasks)
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a cardiac stepdown/intermediate care (IMC) setting
- Monitor and manage cardiac drips (no titration), ventilated patients, and post-MI/post cardiac procedure care
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs), continuous telemetry, and dysrhythmias
- Administer blood products and manage central lines, chest tubes, and tracheostomies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response/Code teams
- Utilize Epic for accurate and timely documentation and care coordination
- Participate in rapid response/code teams as needed and provide patient and family education and support
