Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse)
• Location: Boston, MA 02215 (Longwood Medical Area)
• Role / Setting: Pediatric Clinic – Oncology Nurse Navigator / PACU RN duties
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• End Date: August 3, 2026
• Duration: 20 weeks
• Shift: 4 x 10-hour days (07:30 – 18:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050 – $2,150

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of pediatric oncology nursing experience (Pediatric RN, Oncology RN)
• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of application
• PALS certification required
• Experience with EPIC charting required (EPIC experience preferred for pediatric oncology roles)
• Supervisory-level reference required
• COVID-19 vaccination and booster required (no exemptions)

Preferred Qualifications

• APHON chemo/bio provider certification preferred
• Chemo administration and infusion therapy experience preferred (chemotherapy, blood products, IVIG, hydration, antibiotics)
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred, but first-time travelers will be considered

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate comprehensive care for pediatric oncology patients, including general oncology, neuro-oncology, stem cell transplant, and bone marrow failure cases
• Serve as the Pediatric Oncology Nurse Navigator: provide care coordination, patient advocacy, and family education
• Provide patient and family education, symptom support, and discharge planning
• Perform telephone triage, symptom management, and clinical assessments
• Deliver hands-on nursing skills such as immunizations, dressing changes, and NGT placement
• Support infusion therapy and chemo-related treatments per facility protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC and uphold patient safety and compassionate pediatric care standards
