- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,360 – $2,480
- Setting: Cardio Thoracic ICU / CVICU (post-op open heart, TAVR, VAD support)
- Typical Patient Ratio: 1:1–2

Required Qualifications (CVICU RN / Cardiac ICU Nurse)
- Minimum 2 years recent CVICU experience (SICU with CVICU training considered)
- Active NJ RN license or Compact RN (required at time of submission)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (required at time of submission)
- Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT (Prismax) OR fresh open heart post-op cases
- Proficient with Swan-Ganz, FloTrac, temp pacers, arterial lines, chest tubes, and ventilator management
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Ability to float within skillset to other ICUs, PACU, ED for ICU holds, and IMC units
- Available to work every other weekend and 2 of 3 major holidays during the contract
Core Responsibilities (Cardiac ICU RN / CVICU)
- Provide direct patient care for fresh open heart and complex cardiac surgery patients (CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR, etc.)
- Manage ventilated patients, chest tubes, lumbar drains, and patients with acute/chronic renal failure
- Operate and monitor advanced cardiac support devices (Impella, IABP) and CRRT/Prismax
- Administer and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips, sedation, and paralytics per protocol
- Interpret ABGs, hemodynamics, and dysrhythmias; respond to cardiac and critical care emergencies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: surgeons, intensivists, PT, RT, pharmacy, and case management
- Float to other critical care units as required based on patient acuity and census
- Document care accurately in Epic (preferred) and maintain high standards of clinical documentation
