Travel Nursing Job Details – Gaffney, South Carolina

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 – $1,820
• Location: Gaffney, SC 29340 – Upstate South Carolina; great access to outdoor recreation, local culture, and nearby Spartanburg and Cherokee Medical Center campuses
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 4/20/2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts per week (open to 48-hour weeks)
• Setting: Resource Pool (float between Cherokee Medical Center and Spartanburg Medical Center as needed; advance scheduling provided)
• Guaranteed Hours: Based on signed contract hours
• Job Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN – Med/Surg Telemetry

Required Qualifications – Med/Surg Tele RN

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted; must be obtained before start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be able to pass arrhythmia and medication tests on first day of orientation
• Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs (Resource Pool/float positions)
• Ability to shave for fit testing if required
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Recent Epic charting experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to provide all requested time off (RTO) at time of submission
• 75-mile travel radius applies (locals not accepted)

Responsibilities – Med/Surg Telemetry Nursing

• Provide high-quality med/surg and telemetry nursing care to a diverse patient population, including sepsis, dementia, post-op, orthopedic, chest pain, and stroke rule-out cases
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias; manage central lines, chest tubes, and wound vacs
• Float between campuses and units as needed with advance scheduling (Resource Pool role)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and ancillary staff
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic (preferred) and follow facility charting standards
• Participate in on-call or additional shift coverage as required (approximately 2 on-call or 2 extra shifts per 6 weeks)
• Adhere to facility attendance, compliance, and safety policies
• Provide weekend and holiday coverage as needed to support patient care and staffing needs
