Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710 - $1,800
• Position: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative RN / Surgical Nurse
• Location: Lawrenceville, GA 30046 (Gwinnett County; near Atlanta)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days (6:30am – 7:00pm), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel nurse
• Unit: Surgery (GMCL) — perioperative/surgical services

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative, scrub or circulating nurse experience preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the required state (or compact RN where applicable)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, instrument counts, patient positioning, and perioperative safety protocols
• Must not be a local candidate (must live more than 50 miles from Lawrenceville, GA); travel nurse candidates only

Responsibilities / Surgical Nurse Duties

• Provide direct perioperative patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons, anesthesia teams, and surgical techs during a wide range of procedures as scrub or circulating nurse
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to intraoperative changes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to hospital and OR protocols
• Perform pre-op and post-op patient assessments and handoffs to PACU staff
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality surgical care and improve patient outcomes
