Job Details / Travel Nursing Assignment
- Job Title: Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (Rehab RN / Travel RN)
- Location: Kansas City, MO 64132 — Kansas City healthcare / Missouri nursing jobs
- Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation (main campus)
- Unit: 2N and 5W — 30 beds across two units (patient ratio approx. 1:5)
- Start Date: March 23, 2026
- End Date: June 22, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks (travel nursing assignment)
- Shifts: 12-hour days (7A–7P), rotating weekends
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
Required Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in the state of Missouri (or compact RN license as applicable)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience; rehabilitation nursing experience preferred
- Comfortable working 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekends
- Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system is required
- Facility uniform policy: navy blue scrub top with navy blue or black bottoms
Key Responsibilities – Rehabilitation Nurse (RN)
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adults in a 30-bed inpatient rehab unit (Rehab RN responsibilities)
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members including PT/OT, social work, physicians, and patient care technicians
- Support patient mobility and safety using gait belts, patient lifts, and alarms; follow safe patient handling protocols
- Document assessments, care plans, and patient progress accurately in Meditech
- Float to other units as needed per facility policy and participate in unit-based care planning
- Promote positive patient experience and contribute to a collaborative, supportive team environment
