Join a collaborative surgical team as a perioperative / operating room nurse (OR RN) in Kansas City, Missouri. This travel RN position is based in zip code 64132 at a busy Level I trauma center with 18 ORs, advanced surgical technology, and a variety of specialty cases including cardiac, trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, robotics (DaVinci and Mako), urology, and GYN. Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Missouri or compact state) — Missouri nursing jobs / Kansas City RN
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative or surgical nurse experience)
• Strong knowledge of OR procedures, sterile technique, and surgical protocols
• Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in a Level I trauma center
• Assist and circulate for surgeries across specialties: cardiac, trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology, GYN, and robotics (DaVinci, Mako)
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and perioperative teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech and follow unit-specific protocols
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety initiatives
• Deliver compassionate patient- and family-centered care in a fast-paced surgical environment
