Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
- Location: Bowling Green, KY (zip 42104) — Kentucky travel nurse opportunity
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: ICU/CCU (16 beds) — critical care nurse role
- Patient Ratio: Typically 2:1, occasionally 3:1
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Position Type: Travel Nurse / ICU RN
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required — ICU RN / critical care nursing experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
- PALS certification preferred
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and self-motivation skills
- Ability to float in rotation with core staffing
- Comfortable and experienced with Meditech documentation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care nursing and patient-centered care in the ICU/CCU setting
- Monitor and manage complex patients using advanced equipment (Impella, GE monitors, Temporary Pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, hemodynamic monitoring)
- Assist with and perform procedures such as central line and dialysis catheter insertions as appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Meditech and follow unit protocols
- Participate in unit rotation and support a positive teamwork environment to enhance patient experience
