Job Details — ICU Travel Nursing

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990 – $2,090 (Competitive pay for travel ICU RN)
• Location: Olathe, KS 66061 — Kansas City metro nursing job
• Setting: Mixed ICU/PCU Hybrid (Critical Care Unit)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 26, 2026 – July 26, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week
• Employment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse / ICU RN)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Based on unit needs

ICU RN Job Requirements — Critical Care Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit experience (ICU RN or Critical Care Nurse)
• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Proficiency with balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, and open heart procedures (required for nights)
• Skilled in drawing labs, PICC line care, running codes independently, and managing consults
• Comfortable floating to PCU/CCU and other inpatient units (Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, ED with prior experience)
• Ability to work 2:1 RN ratio for critical patients, flexing to 3:1 as needed

Responsibilities — ICU and Critical Care Nursing

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a mixed critical care (ICU/PCU) environment
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients with complex medical, surgical, cardiac, and neuro conditions
• Operate advanced life-support equipment and perform specialized procedures (balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, assist with open heart cases)
• Draw labs, manage PICC lines, respond to and run codes independently
• Float to various inpatient units as required and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Participate in required orientation (virtual + in-person) and ongoing training for travel nursing assignments

Note: Minimal time-off requests will be considered during the World Cup (June 11 – July 19). Orientation includes both in-person and virtual training sessions.
